Ebou Adams, The Midfielder Who Wins The Ball

A high energy defensive midfielder known for effort and leadership more than passing range, Adams has captained a Championship club.

Adams built his reputation the hard way, working through non-league football and a string of loan spells before breaking through at Forest Green Rovers. His relentless work rate helped fire that club to a league title, and that intensity in the tackle became his calling card. He is a defensive midfielder valued far more for duels won than for elegant passing, and Derby County trusted him enough to make him captain.

The honest assessment of his game has always noted that his distribution lags behind his defensive intensity. That is a gap that Championship midfields with sharper technical control can be quicker to exploit.
