Abu Kamara, The Winger Who Cuts Inside

A left-footed inverted winger, Kamara glides past defenders from the right and offers Portsmouth attacking width in several positions.

Kamara plays left-footed off the right, which lets him cut inside onto his stronger foot rather than chase crosses down the line like a typical winger. Teammates have described the way he glides past opponents, jinking through gaps that most wide players would need far more space to exploit. That flexibility means Portsmouth can also use him on the left or through the middle, useful cover whenever injuries thin out the forward line.

His career so far has moved quickly between clubs, from academy football through a permanent move away and a loan abroad before circumstances brought him back to Fratton Park. That whirlwind path raises a fair question about whether he ever settles long enough in one place to fully deliver on the ability teammates keep describing. Portsmouth clearly believe the raw talent is worth the uncertainty that comes with it.
