The Bingo App That Runs on Live Football

Match Bingo is a free bingo app for iOS and Android, but instead of numbered balls, the card is driven by what happens in a football match. Each one carries fifteen events, so you might be waiting on a goal, another corner, a booking or a free kick before a square disappears. When something on your card happens, it gets marked automatically.

Paid cards start at £1, with £25 for one line, £50 for two lines and £100 for a full house. There’s a free card to claim each week too, so you can try it without paying for your first game.

It works more like something you keep open alongside the match than a typical online bingo app. You can follow the football as normal and let the card take care of itself in the background.

What makes the best bingo app?

There are already plenty of bingo apps where you sit and watch numbers come out. Match Bingo went in a different direction and built the card around football instead.

Two people can buy cards for the same fixture and spend the whole match wanting completely different things. One might be desperate for another corner while someone else needs a booking, and neither will care much about what the other one’s looking for.

Once the game starts, the card updates itself, so there’s nothing to mark manually. If something happens while you’re watching the replay, checking another score or looking away from your phone, it still counts.

Then there’s Nudge, which lets you swap one event on your card with a single tap. If you’ve spent half the match waiting on something that still hasn’t happened, you can change that square and take your chances with something else.

You still can’t control what the football does afterwards, obviously. If only it were that easy.

The three ways to play

Live Games

Live Games are played alongside a real fixture. Get a card before the game, then whatever happens on the pitch starts filling it. Football being football, you can go twenty minutes with very little happening and then get a goal, a booking and two corners almost on top of each other.

Bingoals

Bingoals runs on Saturdays and swaps the individual match events for teams. You get fifteen of them and need every one to score. That can lead to some questionable temporary loyalties. You may have spent years disliking a particular club, but if they’re number fifteen on your card and still haven’t scored after 80 minutes, principles can wait.

Quick Games

Quick Games use football from last season and start every few minutes. They don’t need a live fixture, so you can play one when there’s nothing useful on the schedule. All three are available through the same app. You can find more information on each game on our games page.

What does the Match Bingo app cost?

The app is free to download on iOS and Android.

Once you’re in, paid cards start from £1. The regular prizes are £25 for one line, £50 for two lines and £100 for a full house, while some weekly pots can grow to £10,000.

There’s a free card to claim each week as well. You don’t have to pay anything simply to download the app and have a look around, and the card price is shown before you play.

Play Match Bingo on your phone

A mobile bingo app needs to work without demanding your attention every five seconds, because presumably you’d quite like to watch the match as well.

The card updates automatically as the match goes on, so if a yellow card comes out while you’re watching the replay of the tackle that caused it, the square still gets filled. The same goes for goals, corners and the other eligible events on your card.

Nudge is there when you do want to make a change yourself, letting you swap one event on your card with a single tap. Otherwise, the card carries on updating from whatever happens on the pitch.

If you want a closer look at what goes on the card and how a game plays out, our how it works page runs through it.
