Newcastle United

Nick Woltemade

Nick Woltemade is an unusually mobile target man, dropping deep to link play with neat touches most forwards his size never develop. He then arrives late into the box to finish the moves he helped create, spotting gaps other big forwards simply run past.

Nick Woltemade, The Target Man Who Drops Deep

He combines the physical presence of a classic target man with footwork most forwards built like him never develop.

Woltemade often plays with his back to goal, dropping short of the last defender to collect the ball. He lays it off with a first touch that belies his size completely, which is rare for a forward built the way he is. That habit gives Newcastle a way to bring midfield runners into play rather than simply lumping the ball long towards him and hoping he wins the header, which is the trap teams often fall into with a forward this size.

He still finishes like a genuine striker once the ball breaks his way. He arrives late into the box to convert what his own link up play created moments earlier. The tension is whether a forward asked to do so much build up work loses the sharpness needed to stay clinical when the real chance finally arrives in front of goal.

Match Bingo Game Modes Explained

There are three game types on Match Bingo and they behave less alike than they sound. Live Games follow a real fixture as it's played. Bingoals swaps the fifteen events for fifteen teams and needs every one of them to score. Quick Games run every few minutes on football from last season, so there's nothing to wait for.

Does a New Signing Change Anything on Your Match Bingo Card?

Deadline day comes and goes and your card stays exactly as it was. Match Bingo cards are built from things that happen in a match, goals and corners and fouls, rather than from the players who make them happen. No name on a teamsheet reaches a single square. Here's what a signing does change, and what it doesn't.

Is Match Bingo Safe? Licensing, Fair Play and Player Protection

Two things usually sit behind that question: whether the company is real and regulated, and whether the game itself can be got at by somebody sharper than you. Match Bingo is operated by RTSB Limited under Gambling Commission account 51467, which takes about a minute to check. The second answer is duller: there's nothing to press.

What Is Football Bingo?

A card holds fifteen things that can happen in a football match, and each square marks itself the moment its event happens in the fixture you've chosen. You buy before kick-off, then you go and watch the game. Complete a horizontal row of five before anybody else and you take the fixed prize for that tier.

A Friday night opener, a full Saturday, and Villa against Arsenal alone on the Monday.

Nick Woltemade: The Target Man

Built to hold play, win aerial battles and make the attack feel connected.

Woltemade gives Newcastle a different kind of forward presence. He can receive long balls, bring teammates into play, and create space simply by occupying centre-backs physically. That matters because it lets Newcastle attack in more than one way, giving them an option when passing lanes are blocked.

He’s also clever with his movement. He drops into pockets, plays quick lay-offs and offers a focal point that makes wide runners more dangerous. In a league where teams often defend deep, having a striker who can win duels and still link play cleanly becomes a real weapon.
