He would rather receive the ball under pressure and pass through it than clear his lines at the first chance.

Jaouen treats his feet as a genuine passing option rather than an emergency tool. He accepts the ball from a defender under pressure and looks to play through the opposition's press instead of simply hoofing it away downfield without thinking. That comfort on the ball has made him a modern goalkeeper by instinct. He sees himself as the first passer in an attack rather than only its final line of defence when trouble arrives.
