Newcastle United

Joelinton

Joelinton was signed as a striker and rebuilt into a midfield engine, covering ground other players simply cannot match while still carrying the ball like the forward he used to be. He wins the ball back high up the pitch and immediately drives forward again.

Joelinton, The Striker Rebuilt As A Midfielder

A failed forward became one of the league's hardest working midfielders, carrying the ball like the striker he once was.

Joelinton covers more ground than almost anyone else on the pitch, pressing defenders into mistakes and then carrying the ball forward himself once he has won it back cleanly. That combination of physical intensity and close control is rare, because most players built for one usually lack the other. It comes directly from his years learning to lead the line before Newcastle moved him into midfield to solve a completely different problem.

What he sacrifices is the end product a specialist number eight might offer instead of him. He creates fewer clear chances than his work rate suggests he probably should manage. That leaves fans arguing endlessly whether his ceiling is as a selfless engine or as something closer to the pure goalscorer he was originally signed to become at Newcastle.

Match Bingo Game Modes Explained

There are three game types on Match Bingo and they behave less alike than they sound. Live Games follow a real fixture as it's played. Bingoals swaps the fifteen events for fifteen teams and needs every one of them to score. Quick Games run every few minutes on football from last season, so there's nothing to wait for.

Does a New Signing Change Anything on Your Match Bingo Card?

Deadline day comes and goes and your card stays exactly as it was. Match Bingo cards are built from things that happen in a match, goals and corners and fouls, rather than from the players who make them happen. No name on a teamsheet reaches a single square. Here's what a signing does change, and what it doesn't.

Is Match Bingo Safe? Licensing, Fair Play and Player Protection

Two things usually sit behind that question: whether the company is real and regulated, and whether the game itself can be got at by somebody sharper than you. Match Bingo is operated by RTSB Limited under Gambling Commission account 51467, which takes about a minute to check. The second answer is duller: there's nothing to press.

What Is Football Bingo?

A card holds fifteen things that can happen in a football match, and each square marks itself the moment its event happens in the fixture you've chosen. You buy before kick-off, then you go and watch the game. Complete a horizontal row of five before anybody else and you take the fixed prize for that tier.

Joelinton: The Midfield Force

Newcastle’s enforcer, built to win battles, carry the ball forward and make the centre of the pitch a fight.

Joelinton plays like he wants every duel. He tackles with force, uses his body to shield the ball, and drives forward in a way that lifts the crowd and drags teammates into the battle. Newcastle often win matches by winning the physical side, and Joelinton is a big reason why.

He also gives Newcastle presence in both boxes. He arrives late, attacks crosses, and defends set pieces with real commitment. He’s not about finesse, he’s about impact, and when the game becomes a scrap, Joelinton is exactly the kind of midfielder you want on your side.
