Bazoumana Touré

Touré attacks a full back directly rather than looking for the easier option first. He trusts his close control to get through in situations where a more cautious winger would simply pass backwards and reset. That willingness to take defenders on has followed him through several different leagues already, from Sweden through Germany and now England. It is the clearest sign of a player still developing his end product around a genuine dribbling talent.

What separates promising and effective at this level is decision making in the final third. A winger who beats his man but then delays the final pass gives defences time to recover behind him. Newcastle's coaching staff clearly see enough upside to stay patient while he learns exactly when to release the ball rather than carrying it too long.
