Pol Valentín, The Right Back Following The Family Trade

His father and brother both played right back before him, which explains why the position feels so natural now.

Valentín spent years working through Spanish football below the top flight, a route that toughened him rather than fast tracked him. Sheffield Wednesday brought him into English football, and Preston later won the race to sign him permanently. He defends with genuine physical presence, the kind of strength that unsettles a winger trying to knock the ball past him and run.
