Delano Burgzorg, The Forward European Football Educated

A Dutch forward who has played in Germany's top flight, he arrives at Preston on loan hoping to finally settle.

Burgzorg plays with real pace and directness, a forward who threatens most when he is running at a defence rather than trying to beat a full back with a trick. His versatility lets him lead the line or drift wide depending on what a system needs from him. That profile was shaped across a genuinely international career, with spells in Dutch football and a permanent move into Germany's top flight.

English experience gathered at Huddersfield eventually led Middlesbrough to sign him on a permanent deal. The tension with a forward who has moved this often is settling, since a player with his ability rarely struggles to find a club willing to take a chance on him. He has not properly nailed down a starting role anywhere for very long, so how quickly his pace converts into a regular place in Preston's side will decide whether this loan becomes something more.
