Charlie Kelman, A Golden Boot Winner Arrives

He won the division's top scorer award before stepping up to prove himself a level higher.

Kelman's game is built around movement inside the box, finding half a yard between two defenders rather than trying to beat one outright. He is comfortable finishing early rather than taking an extra touch, which matters against a goalkeeper with less time to set himself. That instinct helped him become the division's leading scorer, a distinction earned through consistency rather than a handful of standout performances.

The obvious question with any striker moving up from a lower division is whether the same half yard of space still exists against better organised defences. Chances that came regularly at one level can dry up completely at the next, forcing a forward to adapt his movement rather than repeat what worked before. Whether Kelman finds that same room inside a tougher penalty area is worth watching.
