Armando Broja, The Striker Who Keeps Coming Back
Broja plays on the shoulder of the last defender the way a genuinely direct striker should, using raw pace to get in behind rather than checking to feet and waiting for the game to come to him. That directness has translated into a wider role too, starting on the right wing in recent international qualifiers and stretching defences from a wide position instead of only a central one. It shows a forward whose main weapon works from more than one starting point.
What makes his story unusual is how often it has been interrupted, with more than one serious injury forcing long spells out at points that should have built momentum. Strikers who rely on explosive pace are often the ones most affected, since recovering the exact same speed is never guaranteed. Broja keeps fighting his way back into contention, which says as much about character as finishing.

Armando Broja: The Power Striker
Burnley’s physical No.9, built to battle defenders and attack the space behind them.
Broja plays like a striker who wants contact. He pins centre-backs, uses his body to hold the ball up, and then spins into the channel when the lane opens. When Burnley go direct, he gives them an outlet who can bring midfielders into play rather than simply losing possession. His movement is sharp too, because he likes attacking the gap between defenders, forcing them to turn and chase.
The next step is rhythm and consistency, but the profile is clear. He has the strength to win duels, the pace to stretch a line, and the instincts to arrive in the box when the moment is there. For Burnley, he represents the type of striker who can turn limited chances into goals, which is often what survival seasons demand.
