Damsgaard drifts into pockets of space between the lines and picks a pass that most midfielders would not even see, using close control to buy himself the extra half second a defender is trying to take away. His set pieces are a genuine weapon, curling free kicks and corners with enough disguise that goalkeepers often guess the wrong way entirely.
He produced one of the standout individual moments of a major international tournament while still relatively new to senior football, scoring a free kick against a team expected to beat his country comfortably. That early experience of performing under real pressure still shows in how calm he looks receiving the ball in tight Premier League areas. The question now is whether he can add end product week to week rather than in occasional flashes.
