Brentford

Mathias Jensen

A central midfielder who controls the tempo of a game rather than dominating it physically, picking the right pass a fraction quicker than opponents expect and rarely giving the ball away carelessly. He arrived a purely technical player and has added a harder defensive edge without ever losing that original touch.

Mathias Jensen, The Midfielder Who Sets The Tempo

Brentford's most capped international slows a game down or speeds it up depending on exactly what his team needs.

Jensen dictates the pace of Brentford's play from central midfield, choosing when to keep possession moving quickly and when to slow it right down until a gap opens somewhere else on the pitch. His passing range covers short combinations through midfield and longer switches out to the flanks, and he rarely wastes a pass simply to keep the ball moving for its own sake.

He was once a player who avoided the physical side of midfield entirely, preferring to glide past a challenge rather than make one himself. Years in English football have added a willingness to put his body on the line that was not always there earlier in his career. Whether that balance between control and combat keeps developing is what separates a good deep lying midfielder from a genuinely complete one.

Clean sheets in the Premier League and Championship

Five Premier League keepers have three clean sheets from five games, but Konstantinos Tzolakis has made the most saves of the group. In the Championship, George Wickens has matched Lawrence Vigouroux's four clean sheets while facing far more shots.

Match Bingo Game Modes Explained

There are three game types on Match Bingo and they behave less alike than they sound. Live Games follow a real fixture as it's played. Bingoals swaps the fifteen events for fifteen teams and needs every one of them to score. Quick Games run every few minutes on football from last season, so there's nothing to wait for.

Does a New Signing Change Anything on Your Match Bingo Card?

Deadline day comes and goes and your card stays exactly as it was. Match Bingo cards are built from things that happen in a match, goals and corners and fouls, rather than from the players who make them happen. No name on a teamsheet reaches a single square. Here's what a signing does change, and what it doesn't.

Is Match Bingo Safe? Licensing, Fair Play and Player Protection

Two things usually sit behind that question: whether the company is real and regulated, and whether the game itself can be got at by somebody sharper than you. Match Bingo is operated by RTSB Limited under Gambling Commission account 51467, which takes about a minute to check. The second answer is duller: there's nothing to press.

What Is Football Bingo?

A card holds fifteen things that can happen in a football match, and each square marks itself the moment its event happens in the fixture you've chosen. You buy before kick-off, then you go and watch the game. Complete a horizontal row of five before anybody else and you take the fixed prize for that tier.

Mathias Jensen: The Set-Piece Conductor

Brentford’s creative heartbeat, built on clean passing and dangerous delivery.

Jensen plays like someone who enjoys the details. He receives under pressure and still manages to turn his body the right way, opening the pitch with a sharp switch or threading a pass into a runner’s stride. He’s not frantic, he’s measured, and that calm tempo-setting is what keeps Brentford’s midfield connected when matches become stretched.

Then there’s the delivery. Brentford treat set pieces like opportunities to control games, and Jensen’s accuracy makes them a constant threat from corners and free-kicks. One good ball can win a match, and Jensen supplies those balls regularly, making him one of the most valuable quiet creators in the squad.
