Guglielmo Vicario

A goalkeeper who trusts his reactions over careful positioning, throwing himself across goal in the final instant rather than committing early. He also refuses to stay on his line, rushing out whenever a loose ball gives him a yard to reach first.

Guglielmo Vicario, The Keeper Who Rushes Off His Line

Vicario treats the space in front of his goal as his to defend, not just the six yards inside it.

Vicario reacts to the shot rather than guessing where it is going. That means his saves often arrive a fraction late and look far more dramatic than a goalkeeper who reads it early. He backs that reflex with genuine bravery, coming a long way off his line to beat a striker to a bouncing ball nobody else would attempt. His distribution matches that confidence, because he looks for a teammate in space rather than clearing his lines out of habit.

The question with a goalkeeper this committed is what happens on the days his timing is even slightly off. Charging out and missing the ball leaves an empty net behind him. Tottenham still need him to keep making that gamble, which is exactly what has made him first choice ahead of quieter, more conservative goalkeepers.

Clean sheets in the Premier League and Championship

Five Premier League keepers have three clean sheets from five games, but Konstantinos Tzolakis has made the most saves of the group. In the Championship, George Wickens has matched Lawrence Vigouroux's four clean sheets while facing far more shots.

Match Bingo Game Modes Explained

There are three game types on Match Bingo and they behave less alike than they sound. Live Games follow a real fixture as it's played. Bingoals swaps the fifteen events for fifteen teams and needs every one of them to score. Quick Games run every few minutes on football from last season, so there's nothing to wait for.

Does a New Signing Change Anything on Your Match Bingo Card?

Deadline day comes and goes and your card stays exactly as it was. Match Bingo cards are built from things that happen in a match, goals and corners and fouls, rather than from the players who make them happen. No name on a teamsheet reaches a single square. Here's what a signing does change, and what it doesn't.

Is Match Bingo Safe? Licensing, Fair Play and Player Protection

Two things usually sit behind that question: whether the company is real and regulated, and whether the game itself can be got at by somebody sharper than you. Match Bingo is operated by RTSB Limited under Gambling Commission account 51467, which takes about a minute to check. The second answer is duller: there's nothing to press.

What Is Football Bingo?

A card holds fifteen things that can happen in a football match, and each square marks itself the moment its event happens in the fixture you've chosen. You buy before kick-off, then you go and watch the game. Complete a horizontal row of five before anybody else and you take the fixed prize for that tier.

Guglielmo Vicario: The Reactive Guardian

Spurs’ last line of defence, built to rescue moments and keep belief alive when the game starts to tilt.

Vicario plays with a kind of fearless urgency. He sets early, throws himself into saves, and doesn’t shrink when Spurs are pressed back. In a side that can leave space behind them, he becomes essential because he thrives in broken moments, the one-v-one, the deflection, the shot through bodies that needs a keeper to react, not think.

He also brings presence. He attacks crosses, organises defenders constantly and plays with the energy of a leader, even without the armband. Spurs can look open at times, but with Vicario behind them they always have a goalkeeper capable of turning a dangerous spell into a surviving one.
