Lucas Bergvall, Calm Beyond His Years

Bergvall plays with a composure that makes him look years older whenever the ball is at his feet.

Bergvall takes the ball in tight areas that would panic plenty of experienced midfielders. He moves it forward with a clean first touch, rarely needing more than one or two contacts to escape pressure. He reads danger early enough to intercept a pass before it becomes a real problem, then carries the ball into space himself rather than laying it off immediately. That combination of defensive awareness and comfort in possession lets him link Tottenham's back line to its more attacking players without the team losing control of the ball.
