Kevin Danso, The Defender Who Steps Out First

Danso would rather meet an attacker early and win the ball than retreat and defend the cross that follows.

Danso defends by closing the gap before an attacker can turn and run at him. He has recovery pace that most centre backs simply do not have, which makes aggressive interceptions look routine rather than risky.
