Lewis Miller, The Full Back Australia Trusts

A regular for the Socceroos whose attacking instincts down the right flank made him a natural fit for Blackburn.

Miller built his reputation in Scottish football, where his overlapping runs down the right became a consistent outlet for a Hibernian side that leaned on his energy every single week. He is not content to simply track a winger up and down the touchline, doing only the defensive side of the job. He prefers to get beyond him and put crosses into the box, which is the trait that convinced Blackburn to sign him.

His form earned him a regular place with Australia, including a full international debut against England, which shows how highly his attacking full back play is regarded outside the Championship. A serious Achilles injury has since interrupted his progress at exactly the wrong moment. The challenge now is rebuilding the match sharpness that made him so effective before it happened.
