Adam Forshaw, The Midfielder Injuries Could Not Stop

A well travelled midfielder whose career has survived recurring injuries at nearly every club he has represented.

Forshaw built his best form at Brentford, where he was recognised as one of the division's outstanding midfielders, before a move through Wigan and Middlesbrough eventually took him into the Premier League with Leeds. There, pundits regularly praised his positional discipline in a deeper role, breaking up attacks and recycling possession rather than chasing a moment of magic. His reading of the game stood out most in the matches that mattered.

What defines his career as much as any single performance is the persistent injury trouble that has followed him around, particularly the hip problems that repeatedly cut short promising spells. He arrived at Blackburn on a short term deal after a difficult few years elsewhere. The question is whether his experience and reading of the game can still hold up physically across a demanding schedule.
