Joachim Andersen, The Pass That Changes The Picture

Fulham's Danish centre back starts attacks from his own half with passes that most defenders never attempt.

Andersen has one of the finest long passing ranges of any defender in England, and he uses it deliberately rather than as an escape from pressure. He lifts the ball across to the opposite touchline the moment an opposition full back tucks inside, which turns a settled defensive shape into a scramble within a single touch.
