Castledine carries the ball through midfield with a composure that stands out in a player who spent his early years at the back, rarely rushing a decision even when a challenge is arriving quickly. That calmness lets Middlesbrough build possession through areas where panic usually forces a team into an aimless pass forward instead, giving the ball away cheaply.
