Ollie Watkins, The Forward Who Does Both Jobs

Villa's striker scores goals and creates them in equal measure, which makes him hard for any defence to plan around.

Watkins spends most of a match working the space behind the last defender, timing his runs to stay just onside. When the ball arrives in behind, his finishing is calm rather than rushed, which separates a real goal threat from a player who simply runs fast. He is equally comfortable creating for others, dropping short to link play instead.

The debate that follows him is whether he needs a specific type of service to thrive, since his game depends on quick balls into the space he runs into.
