Manchester City

Marc Guéhi

Marc Guehi blocks a shot or a cross with such precise timing it barely looks like defending, getting his body across just as the ball arrives rather than launching into a challenge. He wins headers through anticipation, disrupting a striker's jump before it starts.

Marc Guehi, The Defender Who Blocks Everything

He wins aerial duels through timing rather than raw size, disrupting a striker's jump before the header even happens.

Guehi's defending is built on angles and timing rather than physical dominance, getting his body low and controlled to block a shot or cross without conceding a rebound or a corner. In the air he competes well against taller strikers by attacking the ball early and interrupting their run up rather than simply trying to jump higher. He also carries a passing range that lets him switch play across the pitch, increasingly what a modern centre back is asked to do.

The question at a club playing as high a line as City is whether his timing still works when the margin for error shrinks. A block arriving half a step late becomes a penalty rather than a clearance. Watch how he adapts his positioning next to teammates used to defending far more space than he had to previously.

Clean sheets in the Premier League and Championship

Five Premier League keepers have three clean sheets from five games, but Konstantinos Tzolakis has made the most saves of the group. In the Championship, George Wickens has matched Lawrence Vigouroux's four clean sheets while facing far more shots.

Match Bingo Game Modes Explained

There are three game types on Match Bingo and they behave less alike than they sound. Live Games follow a real fixture as it's played. Bingoals swaps the fifteen events for fifteen teams and needs every one of them to score. Quick Games run every few minutes on football from last season, so there's nothing to wait for.

Does a New Signing Change Anything on Your Match Bingo Card?

Deadline day comes and goes and your card stays exactly as it was. Match Bingo cards are built from things that happen in a match, goals and corners and fouls, rather than from the players who make them happen. No name on a teamsheet reaches a single square. Here's what a signing does change, and what it doesn't.

Is Match Bingo Safe? Licensing, Fair Play and Player Protection

Two things usually sit behind that question: whether the company is real and regulated, and whether the game itself can be got at by somebody sharper than you. Match Bingo is operated by RTSB Limited under Gambling Commission account 51467, which takes about a minute to check. The second answer is duller: there's nothing to press.

What Is Football Bingo?

A card holds fifteen things that can happen in a football match, and each square marks itself the moment its event happens in the fixture you've chosen. You buy before kick-off, then you go and watch the game. Complete a horizontal row of five before anybody else and you take the fixed prize for that tier.

Marc Guéhi: The Defensive Leader

Palace’s captain-like figure, built on calm authority, clean defending and intelligent build-up play.

Guéhi plays like the match is never too fast for him. He reads danger early, keeps his feet, and wins duels without needing chaos. When Palace are defending deep he clears with control, when they’re defending high he covers space with intelligence, and in both phases he looks like the defender everyone else trusts to make the right call.

What separates him is that he brings calm with the ball too. He can step forward, find midfield passes, and help Palace build through pressure rather than just survive it. That blend of leadership, composure, and modern ball-playing quality is why the biggest clubs keep circling. But for Palace, his value is simpler: he is the structure.
