Elliot Myles, The Academy Midfielder Norwich Trusts

Signed his professional deal as a teenager, he made his debut in a cup tie and has played for Wales.

Myles joined Norwich's academy in his young teens and moved steadily up through the age groups, signing his first academy deal before turning pro less than a year later. It is a path built on steady growth rather than one sudden leap forward. His senior debut came off the bench in an EFL Cup win over Stevenage, a game that led one watcher to say Norwich might have a real wonderkid coming through their own ranks.

He has played for Wales at every youth level since, moving quickly up the age groups toward the senior side. What makes Myles unusual is his choice, able to play for Wales, England, Ghana or Nigeria through family ties, yet picking Wales every single time so far. How Norwich handle his rise from promising teenager to first team regular will decide whether that early wonderkid tag was fair.
