Strand Larsen wins the physical battle against most centre backs, turning a hopeful long ball into a platform for attack.

Strand Larsen holds the ball up with his back to goal, shielding it from a defender long enough for support to arrive before laying it off into space. He wins the vast majority of his aerial duels, letting Palace play more directly when the situation calls for it. He is also quick enough over the ground to run into the channel, hard to defend with a single centre back alone.

The tension around a striker built this way is whether his all round game keeps pace with his physical presence, since aerial dominance alone does not guarantee goals.
