Monga's dribbling stood out from a young age, using quick feet and a low centre of gravity to beat defenders in confined spaces where most teenage wingers would simply pass the ball away. He is comfortable carrying possession from deep and driving directly at a full back rather than waiting for the ball into feet, which made him one of the most sought after academy talents before his move. His confidence on the ball rarely looks like it belongs to a player his age.

The part of his game still developing is end product, since dribbling alone does not guarantee goals once senior defenders start reading his movements more accurately than youth opponents ever could.
