Solís plays with the confidence that comes from being fast tracked into a first team as a teenager, unafraid to take the ball in tight areas or drive at an opponent when a safer option exists. That reputation was built at Atlético Nacional, where he had already won a national youth title before senior football started for him. A move to Girona followed quickly, evidence clubs well beyond Colombia had noticed his ability.

Talent alone rarely survives long at senior level without discipline to match it, and Solís is still working out where that line sits for him.
