Cardiff are back. What now?

Cardiff are back in the Championship after getting the job done in League One, and they're now setting their sites at the big leagues and a possible second promotion.

The Championship can bite pretty quickly, though. You can be dominating a match, switch off for five minutes and suddenly you’ve conceded 2 goals and you're on the back-foot. Cardiff will undoubtably have a few of those afternoons where everything clicks, and probably a fair few more where it all gets a bit frantic and they start scrambling

But that’s why we're buzzing to watch them this year. Scrappy games, late pressure, cards flying about, someone nicking one at the back post. It's looking like there's going to be loads happening beyond whatever the scoreboard says, and you can play along with all the action on Match Bingo.

Cardiff are a Welsh club competing in the English pyramid, an arrangement dating back to the club's early years. Swansea City and Wrexham are in the same position.
Blue, which is where the Bluebirds nickname comes from. The club briefly switched to red under previous ownership before reverting in 2015.
The team totals are split so you can see both separately. That split matters more for Cardiff than most clubs, given how much of their reputation rests on travelling support.
