Corey Blackett-Taylor, The Winger Who Runs In Behind

Injuries have repeatedly interrupted a winger whose game depends on the kind of explosive pace that only works when his body cooperates.

Blackett-Taylor's game is built almost entirely around speed, the willingness to sprint into the space behind a full back rather than dropping deep to collect the ball and dribble at a settled defence. That directness made him considerably more dangerous once a manager trusted him with genuine attacking licence. It turned a squad winger into someone capable of contributing real goals and assists across a full season, for the first time in his career.

The obvious tension is fitness, since hamstring and thigh problems have repeatedly interrupted him just as he was building momentum. A winger whose entire game depends on explosive pace has less margin for carrying a knock than most other positions do. Watching him stay fit for a genuinely long run of matches would tell supporters more about his ceiling than any single performance possibly could.
