Igor Jesus, The Striker Built For Big Games

A forward whose biggest goal so far came against one of European football's most decorated club sides.

Jesus scored the goal that beat one of the most decorated clubs in world football on one of the biggest stages the sport has to offer. That kind of moment tends to say something real about a striker's temperament under real pressure. He holds the ball up with genuine physical strength before releasing it and immediately looking to run beyond the defender who was just marking him.

He arrived at Forest from South American football, where the physical demands and refereeing tolerances differ from the Premier League. Those differences can catch even a proven goalscorer out early on.
