His movement drags defenders out of position, opening gaps for a teammate to run into even when he never touches the ball himself. He presses with real intensity from the front, often starting the move that wins the ball back higher up.

The tension is that a forward built around clever movement does not always produce the direct end product a striker gets judged on. He creates as many chances for others as he takes himself, which some fans value and others see as wasteful. Whether Arsenal need that unselfish movement or a more ruthless focal point remains an open argument.
