Viktor Gyökeres, The Striker Defenders Cannot Bully
Gyökeres combines the strength to hold off a centre back with genuine pace in behind, giving defenders two separate problems they cannot solve the same way at once. He presses forwards and centre backs relentlessly from the front, refusing to let a goalkeeper simply roll the ball out under no pressure. His finishing is direct and largely instinctive, favouring a quick strike over an elaborate touch whenever the chance appears.
The tension is whether that directness translates cleanly into a league that defends in far tighter, better organised defensive units. Some defenders who faced him elsewhere admit his physical presence made him almost impossible to handle alone, while others question how much depended on space English defences rarely allow. Watch how he is marked in the biggest games, because that tells you which argument is currently winning.

Viktor Gyökeres: The Relentless No.9
He doesn’t wait for chances, he creates them.
Gyökeres pulls into channels, drags centre-backs out of shape and attacks space like it’s personal. Give him a yard and he turns it into a shot, a cross, or a sprint that forces a mistake.
But the real value is the intensity. He presses defenders into rushed decisions, he runs until the last minute, and he holds the ball up with real strength when Arsenal need to breathe. He’s a striker built for a front-foot team because he keeps opponents uncomfortable from start to finish
