Dilane Bakwa, The Winger Who Simply Sprints

A direct wide forward whose value rests almost entirely on pace that most Premier League full backs cannot match.

Bakwa's entire game is built around the first few steps of an accelerating sprint, taking the ball from a standing start and simply outrunning the full back in front of him. There is little elaborate trickery involved, mostly because none is needed when raw speed alone forces defenders into retreating rather than engaging him directly. It is a blunt weapon, but a genuinely effective one.

That approach worked reliably in French football, but Premier League full backs generally defend deeper and more patiently. They refuse to be dragged into the open space that speed like his depends on. Whether he adapts his game to include the composure a crowded penalty area demands, rather than relying purely on pace to do the work, is the question that will define his time in England.
