Nmecha does the two jobs a modern striker is asked to do, using his physical strength to shield the ball with his back to goal and then finding the run that gets him into the box once it has been played wide. That dropping deep pulls a centre back with him, opening space for a winger or midfielder to run into instead. When the chance arrives he finishes with the same composure whether it comes from a header or a low cross.

Strikers who are good at everything sometimes end up excelling at nothing in particular, and that is the fair question to ask about a player this well rounded. Leeds need to decide whether his best use is as the target man who brings others into play or the finisher who benefits from someone else doing that job. Getting that balance wrong could waste what makes him different.
