Manchester United

Lisandro Martínez

Martinez defends like a player who has spent his career being told he is too small for the job, throwing himself into duels with commitment that unsettles bigger forwards. He wins the ball early and often, preferring to end an attack before it properly starts.

Lisandro Martinez, The Defender Built Like A Terrier

Height charts suggest he should struggle in this league, yet Martinez wins duels through timing and refusal to back down.

Martinez attacks the ball rather than waiting for it, stepping into challenges a split second before the forward expects contact and unsettling larger opponents through sheer commitment. His tackling is decisive, built to win the ball cleanly rather than simply put a body in the way. He also brings genuine composure on it, a habit from his time under a coach who wanted centre backs to start attacks rather than just stop them.

The obvious tension is his size, because there will always be a forward built to exploit it if Martinez mistimes a challenge or gets isolated in the air. Physical number nines have targeted him for exactly that reason, testing whether his aggression compensates for the inches he gives away in an aerial contest. Watch how United's other centre back covers those situations, because that partnership actually protects Martinez from being exposed.

Clean sheets in the Premier League and Championship

Five Premier League keepers have three clean sheets from five games, but Konstantinos Tzolakis has made the most saves of the group. In the Championship, George Wickens has matched Lawrence Vigouroux's four clean sheets while facing far more shots.

Match Bingo Game Modes Explained

There are three game types on Match Bingo and they behave less alike than they sound. Live Games follow a real fixture as it's played. Bingoals swaps the fifteen events for fifteen teams and needs every one of them to score. Quick Games run every few minutes on football from last season, so there's nothing to wait for.

Does a New Signing Change Anything on Your Match Bingo Card?

Deadline day comes and goes and your card stays exactly as it was. Match Bingo cards are built from things that happen in a match, goals and corners and fouls, rather than from the players who make them happen. No name on a teamsheet reaches a single square. Here's what a signing does change, and what it doesn't.

Is Match Bingo Safe? Licensing, Fair Play and Player Protection

Two things usually sit behind that question: whether the company is real and regulated, and whether the game itself can be got at by somebody sharper than you. Match Bingo is operated by RTSB Limited under Gambling Commission account 51467, which takes about a minute to check. The second answer is duller: there's nothing to press.

What Is Football Bingo?

A card holds fifteen things that can happen in a football match, and each square marks itself the moment its event happens in the fixture you've chosen. You buy before kick-off, then you go and watch the game. Complete a horizontal row of five before anybody else and you take the fixed prize for that tier.

Lisandro Martínez: The Butcher

United’s aggressive defender, built to win duels, play forward and bring personality to every match.

Martínez defends like he wants to control the mood of the game. He steps in early, fights for every ball and refuses to let forwards feel comfortable. That intensity can change momentum, especially when United need a spark, because he plays with a kind of defiance that lifts the crowd.

With the ball, he’s just as important. He breaks lines with sharp passes, carries into midfield zones and plays with confidence even under pressure. United can be inconsistent, but Martínez is rarely passive, and that bravery makes him central to their identity when they’re at their best.
