Ryan Oné

Oné holds up play with a physical presence unusual for a forward so early in his career, using his frame to buy time before turning and attacking a defender directly. He scores the sort of decisive goals that suggest natural composure in front of goal rather than simply feeding off scraps created by others. Turning down Premier League interest to keep developing first hinted at a maturity beyond his football alone.

The tension is game time, since a young forward with his promise still needs regular senior football rather than fighting for minutes in a crowded attack. Loan spells elsewhere have given him a taste of first-team responsibility that helps him grow faster than training alone ever could. Scotland's youth set up is already tracking him closely, adding pressure on his next move being the right one.
