Cedric Itten

Cedric Itten is a forward in Switzerland's 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup, named by Murat Yakin in the list announced on 20 May 2026. The 29-year-old is a tall centre-forward at Fortuna Düsseldorf and goes into the tournament with 13 caps and five goals for Switzerland.

Itten earns his place after a prolific 2025-26 in the German second tier, a recall to the squad after little Switzerland action since 2023. The Swiss are in Group B and open against Qatar at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara on 13 June, having won their UEFA qualifying group under Murat Yakin. The finals would be a first senior World Cup for the 29-year-old, having missed out on Switzerland's 2022 squad.
