Pervis Estupiñán

Pervis Estupiñán is an attacking left-back for Ecuador, a full-back who gets forward and delivers from wide. The AC Milan defender is 28 at kick-off and has been named in Sebastián Beccacece's projected squad for the 2026 finals, with the final 26 due to be confirmed on 1 June.

Estupiñán won the 2021 Europa League with Villarreal and spent three seasons at Brighton before his move to AC Milan, and he brings 52 caps and four international goals into the squad. Ecuador qualified as CONMEBOL runners-up on 10 June 2025 and are drawn with Ivory Coast, Curaçao and Germany in Group E. His overlapping runs and crossing give Beccacece width on the left, though his place will be settled once the final squad is named.

Estupiñán is an attacking left-back whose game is built on getting up the flank, overlapping and delivering balls into the box. He provides width on the left, crosses for the forwards, and has the engine to recover into the back line when Ecuador defend. His four international goals reflect a full-back who arrives in the right areas, with set-piece delivery part of what he offers.

Under Beccacece, who has built one of the meaner defences around, Estupiñán balances his attacking output with the discipline of a full-back in a side that defends as a unit.
